1999 Partnerships Technology Games at PREVENTION 99 March 18-20, 1999 |
NOAH (New York Online Access to Health)
NOAH (New York Online Access To Health), a bilingual Internet site that has been in existence since 1995, seeks to provide high quality full-text health information for consumers that is accurate, timely, relevant and unbiased. It supports both English and Spanish, expanding access to underserved populations through its library partnerships. NOAH's information providers include March of Dimes and The National Cancer Institute, among many others.
The Midlife Wellness Center (a new site being hosted by NOAH: New York Access to Health) is a response to increasing interest in issues related to midlife. It focuses on wellness rather than disease and supports all the latest trends in medicine that emphasize prevention in health matters, with the mind-body connection as crucial to the maintenance of health and well-being. The site acts both as a gateway for other sites and offers original content. The Technology Games will begin at 6:30
p.m., Thursday, March 18 and end
