A dietitian officer in the Commissioned Corps truly makes a difference in underserved and disadvantaged communities, places where better nutrition can improve health and quality of life. The Corps offers opportunities to gain broad experience providing medical nutritional therapy to patients and collaborating with other dedicated health professionals. You can run nutrition education programs for patients, providers, and the public, empowering them to address the diseases that disproportionately affect their communities. You can conduct research to improve national and global nutrition; develop dietary programs and guidelines; and inspect the food supply to ensure public safety. You'll enjoy leadership opportunities, excellent benefits, and work/life balance, all while improving the health of the Nation.

“Serving in the Corps gives dietitians and food safety experts opportunities to affect public health at the local, State, and national levelsopportunities that arent as common in the private sector.”

CAPTAIN JANICE HUY
