Modification: Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Regional Program, Funding Opportunity No. HHS-2008-ACF-ORR-ZV-0048

Building on the work of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking Campaign, which began to establish local anti-trafficking coalitions, the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), in the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) within HHS, seeks to continue and expand its efforts through regional grantees who will serve as the focal point for an intensification of local outreach to and identification of victims of severe forms of trafficking in persons.

Voluntary Agencies Matching Grant Program, Funding Opportunity No. HHS-2008-ACF-ORR-RV-0120

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is soliciting applications for the Voluntary Agency Matching Grant Program. The Matching Grant Program is an alternative to public assistance designed to enable refugees to become self-sufficient within four to six months from date of arrival into the United States (U.S.). Services provided under this agreement include, but are not limited to, case management, employment services, maintenance assistance and cash allowance, and administration.

Wilson/Fish Alternative Program, Funding Opportunity No. HHS-2008-ACF-ORR-RW-0121

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) announces that applications will be accepted from public and private non-profit organizations, including faith-based and community organizations, under a standing announcement for Wilson/Fish projects that proposes alternative approaches to providing integrated services and cash assistance to refugees. Projects will be accepted under either of two categories: (1) Projects to establish or maintain a refugee program in a State where the State is not participating in the refugee program or is withdrawing from the refugee program or a portion of the program; and (2) projects to provide an alternative to the existing system of assistance and services to refugees. Funding is available to these projects under the "Wilson/Fish" authority. This announcement replaces the one published in the Federal Register of April 5, 2004 (69 Fed. Reg. 17692-01)

Standing Announcement for the Preferred Communities Program, Funding Opportunity No. HHS-2008-ACF-ORR-RP-0112

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) invites the submission of applications for funding, on a competitive basis, for the Preferred Communities program to support the resettlement of newly arrived refugees in Preferred Communities where they have ample opportunities for early employment and sustained economic independence and, to address special populations who need intensive case management, culturally and linguistically appropriate linkages and coordination with other service providers to improve their access to services. This announcement replaces the Priority Area One - Preferred Communities program included in the Standing Announcement for Services for Recently Arrived Refugees published in the Federal Register on April 23, 2004.

The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) invites the submission of applications for funding, on a competitive basis, for Supplemental Services for Recently Arrived Refugees to provide services to arriving refugees or sudden and unexpected large secondary migration of refugees where communities are not sufficiently prepared in terms of linguistic or culturally appropriate services. This announcement replaces the Priority Area Two - Unanticipated Arrivals program included in the Standing Announcement for Services for Recently Arrived Refugees published in the Federal Register on April 23, 2004.
