The June 2008 VSO/MSO Roundtable took place on 19 June, at the DoD Force Health Protection & Readiness (FHP&R) offices in Falls Church, VA. The Roundtable was hosted by Dr. Kelley Brix on behalf of Dr. Michael Kilpatrick, Deputy Director, FHP&R Programs.
Featured speakers were:
- COL Janet Harris, Director, CDMRP
- COL Harris presented on the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Research Program for Fiscal Year 2007. She gave an overview of the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) and the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder/TBI Research Program. ()
- Ms. Lois Kellett, Acting Director, and Mr. Cliff Freeman, Acting Deputy Director, DoD/VA Interagency Program Office
- o Ms. Kellett and Mr. Freeman presented on Information Technology (IT) Interoperability between the Department of Defense (DoD) and Veteran's Affairs (VA). The presentation provided an overview of current and future DoD and VA Health IT initiatives and a brief description of the DoD/VA Interagency Program Office. ()
