Detailed Forecast Discussion |
Monday, September 15: Surface low-pressure system northeast of Ohio will produce moderate to strong northwesterly winds in Cleveland that will disperse pollutants. These winds, combined with mostly cloudy skies limiting ozone formation, will result in Good AQI levels. Tuesday, September 16: Mostly cloudy skies will limit ozone formation. In addition, moderate northwesterly winds will disperse pollutants, leading to Good AQI levels. Wednesday, despite moderate westerly winds dispersing some pollutants, mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation, causing AQI levels to be Moderate. Thursday, surface high pressure over the Great Lakes region will generate moderate northerly winds in northeast Ohio. These winds will disperse some pollutants; however, mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation, leading to Moderate AQI levels. Friday and Saturday, mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures will enhance ozone formation. Furthermore, moderate southerly winds will transport moisture and pollutants into the Cleveland region enhancing particle production. As a result, AQI levels will be Moderate on both days. |
