SAMHSA's collaboration with the United for Recovery brought together motorcycle riders, people in treatment, recovering individuals, and friends and family members from all over Southern California for the First Annual California Recovery Month Ride. The ride started from multiple starting points in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties. Riders congregated and joined fellow advocates at a Recovery Rally Celebration at Fairmount Park. The ride took place on October 2nd, 2005 and had more than 250 participants. For more information on how to organize a Recovery Month Ride please contact Candy Cargill-Fuller at candy@bhs-inc.org or 310-679-9126.
