Through 2001, NIST and other organizations will hold a variety of events celebrating NIST's Centennial. A partial listing of these events is given below; the events will take place in both Gaithersburg and Boulder except where noted.

February 2001 17 - AAAS Annual Meeting in San Francisco includes former Director Lewis Branscomb's presentation "NIST at 100" and NIST centennial exhibit

1 - Event featuring NIST Boulder accomplishments and outlook (Boulder)
4 - Pittsburgh Conference on Analytical Chemistry & Applied Spectroscopy in New Orleans, includes NIST sessions
5 - History and reunion day for NIST staff and alumni (afternoon reception)

July 2001 30 - National Conference of Standards Laboratories Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., includes panel discussion
NIST Centennial Lecture Series The NIST Centennial Lectures featured speakers selected and hosted by each Laboratory. Speakers articulated the culture and traditions of their fields to a broad NIST audience. Topics demonstrated how the science and technology of the past 100 years have grown up with the progress in measurements.
