Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs Karen P. Hughes traveled to Morocco August 13-17, 2007. This visit underscored the importance of the Youth Enrichment Programs (YEP) launched this summer in 13 countries and in the West Bank and Gaza. The YEP are breaking new ground, reaching out to a new audience at an even younger age -- 8-to-14-year olds -- than those participating in traditional exchange programs.
