Medical Matrix is the largest peer-reviewed, annotated, rated and continuously updated directory to over 4,400 Internet clinical medicine resources. Under the direction of Gary Malet, D.O., Family Physician, Medical Informatics Fellow, and Co-Chair of the American Medical Informatics Association's Internet Working Group (IWG), and an editorial board comprised of physician IWG members, Medical Matrix is considered "The" starting point to locating point-of-care resources on the Net. The well-organized directory, hosted by the medical publisher Slack Incorporated, allows users to quickly locate credible medical information sites within areas such as News, Journals, Textbooks, CME, and Patient Education. Medical Matrix links to and rates the various MEDLINE providers while also allowing clinicians to search the best point-of-care resources via "StatSearch". Medical Specialties within Medical Matrix are categorized by resource types such as Cases, Images, Major Resources, and Patient Education. The Star rating system and continuous updating allows the user to view only the most highly regarded resources, as judged by the Editorial Board.
