Command Information: The Environmental Update is the Command's quarterly publication. It highlights the Army's most innovative environmental practices and successes and is distributed worldwide. Other agency publications describe elements of the Army's environmental practices from regional or program perspectives. Coverage on Soldiers Radio and Television broadcasts the Army environmental message to military installations and more than six hundred commercial media outlets worldwide. Public Information: The news releases serve as a resource to help get news media coverage of an environmental event. A photograph library offers access to high-quality photos highlighting Army environmental programs and success stories. The Freedom of Information Act program provides a formal process by which the public can access official records and documents.

Public Involvement Toolbox: The U.S. Army Public Involvment Toolbox is an online resource containing practical tools, methods, examples and information related to public involvement (specifically environmental public involvement) in support of the mission of the Army.

Community Outreach: Community outreach efforts improve mutual understanding of the Army's environmental mission between Army staff and communities outside the installation gates and increase neighborhood participation in Army environmental programs.

Environmental Awareness Programs: On Army Earth Day, April 22 of each year, Army installations around the world celebrate the Army's commitment to the environment. The Secretary of the Army Environmental Awards Program highlights environmental achievements and innovations by Army installations. The Army Chesapeake Bay Program serves as a valuable addition to the natural resource goals of the Bay's many conservation organizations.
