SIR-A: Radar view of China

The objective of SIR-A was to observe the Earth by use of radar imagery, acquire and transmit data of different geologic regions, demonstrate the capability of the Space Shuttle as a platform for making spaceborne scientific investigations. This SIR-A relief image shows a region in China.
