North Dakota and its partners are actively seeking ways to help lower greenhouse emissions in the coal industry through sequestration.  With grants from the Department of Energy, the University of North Dakota is leading a regional partnership researching ways to capture harmful by-products before they are allowed to enter the atmosphere.
