During recent years, the public and private sectors have grown increasingly aware of the nation's reliance on efficient and effective supply chains. The movement of goods and related information is critical for our industry as well as our military and government services. CTA provides research and studies to: analyze operations, evaluate and recommend commercial systems (tools), recommend best business practices and develop supply-chain management software tools. Specific areas of research include: global transportation/logistics, reverse logistics, material and information flow, e-commerce, telecommunications/Internet, data visualization, data mining, and geographic information systems. We develop solutions to supply chain problems based on theoretical and model-based research, simulation system development, empirical research, or detailed, field-based studies.
