Lung Tumors

Neutron therapy is appropriate for the following non-small-cell histologies:

  • Squamous cell carcinoma
  • Large cell carcinoma
  • Adenocarcinoma
Patients who may benefit from neutron therapy include:
  • Patients whose primary tumor is a Stage T3 or T4, unresectable carcinoma including one of the histologies listed above.
  • Patients with N2A, N2B or N3 nodal disease.
  • Patients with a localized lung tumor that has metastasized from a neutron-sensitive tumor in another part of the body.
