Washington, DC – Deputy Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett recently presented Marshal Case with the Presidential Call to Service Award for his service to America’s public lands and volunteerism. Mr. Case is the President of the American Chestnut Foundation, and has given over 4,000 hours of volunteer service during his lifetime.

Case was nominated for this award by Take Pride in America®, for his dedication to promoting nature education for youth, and for tirelessly working to inspire children to get outdoors and take pride in their lands.

Take Pride in America is a national partnership program aimed at increasing volunteer service on America’s public lands. Take Pride bestows and honors those who by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
