Since March 2002, President Bush has met with local volunteers during the course of his travel to communities around the country to recognize them for their dedicated volunteer service. 8/19/2008 President Bush to Recognize Retired Pastor for Dedication to Volunteer Service
President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Dr. Kent Bull upon arrival in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.  Bull has been a volunteer with Trinity Christian Community and Grove Community Church.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Bull, since March 2002. President George W. President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Keela Carr upon arrival in Orlando, Florida, on Wednesday, August 20, 2008.  Carr recently completed a cross-country walk to demonstrate support of all Soldiers and Veterans, and is a Volunteer Ambassador with Freedom Team Salute.  To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors a local volunteer when he travels throughout the United States.  He has met with more than 650 volunteers, like Carr, since March 2002. President George W. 7/15/2008 President Bush to Recognize Eagle Scouts for Dedication to Volunteer Service
President George W. Bush presented the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Mark Hendricks, 20, Jake Wellman, 18, and Alex Braden, 20, upon arrival in Redding, California, on Thursday, July 17, 2008.  California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger also joined the President in presenting the award.  The students are Eagle Scouts and members of the Order of the Arrow, the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America. To thank them for making a difference in the lives of others, President Bush honors volunteers when he travels throughout the United States.  This award presentation includes the 650th volunteer the President has honored since March 2002. President George W. Bush will present the President’s Volunteer Service Award to Mark Hendricks, 20, Jake Wellman, 18, and Alex Braden, 20, when he arrives in Redding, California, on Thursday, July 17, 2008.
