Satellite Derived Surface Currents for the Tropical Pacific

Image 13 Overview: Tropical Pacific near surface currents based on Ekman and geostrophic dynamics, using satellite based wind and altimeter sea level data. Monthly surface current maps with SST anomalies begin October 1992 and continue to the latest available satellite data (usually about 1 month delay).
