The National Crime Prevention Council is the nation's focal point and voice for crime prevention. It serves as a source of help for individuals, neighborhoods, communities and government, producing over 100 books, videos, posters and other effective tools to help communities prevent crime and build safer communities. |

Interpreters are available to translate in additional 139 languages. The Hotline may be reached toll-free by phone from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The National Domestic Violence Hotline also links individuals to help in their area using a nationwide database that includes detailed information on domestic violence shelters, other emergency shelters, legal advocacy and assistance programs and social service programs. |

National Youth Violence Prevention Resource Center
The NYVPRC Web site and call center 1-866-SAFEYOUTH (723-3968) is a central source of information on prevention and intervention programs, publications, research and statistics on violence committed by and against children and teens. The Resource Center is a collaborative effort between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other Federal agencies. This specialty section on NWHIC was created to provide abused women and their loved ones with resources and information they can use to get help. It also contains a state-by-state resource list. |
