TVA To Redeem Debt Securities

TVA announced today that on March 11, 2008, it will redeem two issues of securities from the TVA electronotes® series.

TVA will redeem all of its 2002 6.125-percent electronotes® due Jan. 15, 2022. They can be identified by the CUSIP number 88059TAR2. Approximately $28 million of the 88059TAR2 electronotes® are currently outstanding.

TVA will redeem all of its 2002 6.125-percent electronotes® due April 15, 2022. They can be identified by the CUSIP number 88059TAX9. Approximately $13 million of the 88059TAX9 electronotes® are currently outstanding.

Each of the issues of electronotes® will be redeemed at 100 percent of par value. The redemption price and any accrued interest will be paid to eligible holders through The Depository Trust Company.

TVA’s electronotes® program offers securities for retail investors in a variety of structures and maturities. As of Dec. 31, 2007, TVA had 71 issues of electronotes® outstanding, including the two being redeemed in March.
