TVA Names Three Area Residents as Professionals of the Year

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – TVA has selected three Chattanooga area residents, Eddie Woods, Bobby Cline and Marion Rankin, as professionals of the year for exemplifying key values that help ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations.

TVA named Eddie Woods, a Cleveland resident, as a Radiation Protection, Chemistry & Environment Professional of the Year for his work in developing innovative improvements and for demonstrating flexibility in dealing with work issues at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant.

“Eddie has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to safety and pride in his work,” said Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Vice President Mike Skaggs. “On behalf of the entire Watts Bar team, I thank him for the way he does his job every day to help ensure the plant is operated safely and reliably and maintained to high standards.”

Cline, an employee at Sequoyah Nuclear Plant who resides in Soddy Daisy, also was selected as a Radiation Protection, Chemistry & Environment Professional of the Year for demonstrating strong teamwork and a high degree of integrity.

Rankin, a Hixson resident, was chosen as Sequoyah Nuclear Plant’s Nuclear Maintenance Professional of the Year for exhibiting positive work values and taking ownership of work activities.

“I congratulate Bobby and Marion on being selected by their peers for consistently exhibiting a steadfast commitment to working safely, leading by example, and respecting others,” said Randy Douet, Vice President, Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. “We appreciate the examples these two individuals have set for all of us in the way they perform their jobs at Sequoyah.”

TVA also manages the Tennessee River and its tributaries to provide multiple benefits, including flood damage reduction, navigation, water quality and recreation.
