TVA To Hold Regional Briefings on Draft Strategic Plan

TVA will hold nine public briefings across the Tennessee Valley between April 23 and May 3 to discuss the draft 2007 Strategic Plan with interested stakeholders.
The policy-level plan will provide strategic direction for TVA for the next 10 years as it continues its three-part mission of providing affordable, reliable energy; maintaining a healthy environment; and supporting economic development.
The draft plan focuses on leveraging TVA’s strengths and addressing customer, financial, operational and organizational actions necessary for TVA to support the future growth and success of the Tennessee Valley region. The plan includes proposed strategic objectives for TVA in the areas of customer service, financial principles, balanced use of assets, top-quartile performance, and building pride in TVA’s performance and reputation.
All briefings will begin at 6 p.m. local time and last about an hour, including time for questions. The draft plan can be viewed.
