August Monthly Steel Fact Sheet
The preliminary data released today show that overall steel imports in August 2007 decreased 22 percent from July 2007 . The change in August's total amount of steel imports was due primarily to a decrease in most carbon categories (excluding standard pipe). August 2007 imports of steel mill products were down 39 percent compared to August 2006.
