CFTC Requests Public Comment on Petition from ICE Clear Europe, Ltd.
Washington, DC – The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is asking for public comment on a petition by ICE Clear Europe, Ltd., a recognized Clearing House in the United Kingdom (UK), for a CFTC determination – pursuant to Section 409(b)(3) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Improvement Act of 1991 – that the UK’s Financial Services Authority satisfies appropriate standards in its supervision of multilateral clearing organizations.
Comments should be submitted on or before June 25, 2008.
