Dr.
Xun-Li Wang is a senior scientist at the
Spallation Neutron Source, Oak Ridge
National Laboratory, with cross-appointment to the
Metals and Ceramics
Division. At the SNS, he leads a team of instrument scientists in
neutron diffraction instrumentation and science. Dr. Wang's personal responsibility is
VULCAN, an engineering diffractometer funded by
Canada Foundation for
Innovation. His scientific interests include mechanical properties,
phase transformation, and magnetism in advanced materials. He has
published papers in Science, Nature Materials, Phys. Rev.
Lett. and
Appl. Phys. Lett., and authored 1 book chapter. Dr.
Wang also holds an Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of
Materials Science and Engineering, University of Tennessee.
