Who
provides the information to WNC? How timely is it? top of page
The Open Source Center (OSC), a U.S. government agency,
monitors and collects news and information from thousands of non-U.S.
media sources. In cooperation with OSC, the National Technical Information
Service (NTIS), an agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce, makes
this information available electronically through World News Connection®.
The information is fed to NTIS every government working day.

Most of the articles included in WNC are in full-text format. Some are
excerpted and are noted as such.
Are
foreign language articles included? top of page
WNC contains articles which have been translated into English from other
languages.
Are
new sources of information added to WNC? top of page
New sources of information are added on a continual basis. NTIS makes
a concerted effort to secure publisher permissions. Because of copyright
considerations, articles cannot be included into WNC until an arrangement
is made with the source.
