The United States Mint's employees have access to quality health care choices
and other programs. We offer plans that you may not find in the private sector,
and update them continually.
Retirement Plans consist of two retirement
systems, both of which include a basic benefit, provisions for disability
retirement and a Thrift Savings Plan similar to a 401(K).
Life Insurance programs are comprised of a
basic benefit and three additional options increasing your coverage and/or
covering your family. The employee and the federal government share the cost of
basic life and no physical exam is required for initial enrollment.
Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance
coverage is provided as part of our Life Insurance programs. Providing additional
funds in the event of a fatal accident or an accident that results in the loss of
a limb or eyesight, it is offered at no additional cost.
Medical Insurance is provided through the
Federal Employee's Health Benefits Program (FEHB). This program offers a variety of
shared-costs plans, which are even more affordable because employees can pay their
premiums with pre-tax dollars. Many plans can include: Dental Insurance, Vision
Care, Drug Prescription Coverage
Employee Assistance Program offers you and
your family resources to cope with emotional, relationship, family, and alcohol,
drug, financial or job concerns.
Free Health Screening and Vaccination
programs can make staying healthy a little easier for our employees.
