Pennsylvania DOH – Health Facility Quality Examiners – Nursing

Applications are currently being accepted for the Health Facility Quality Examiner – Nursing position employed by the PA Department of Health. Employees in this position are responsible for conducting inspections and surveys of health care facilities/providers for the licensing, certification, evaluation and/or complaint investigation. New employees participate in a one year on-the-job training program.

Health Facility Quality Examiners – Nursing
Dauphin County

Starting salary of $ 45,438 plus benefits.

Applications are currently being accepted for the Health Facility Quality Examiner – Nursing position employed by the PA Department of Health. Employees in this position are responsible for conducting inspections and surveys of health care facilities/providers for the licensing, certification, evaluation and/or complaint investigation. New employees participate in a one year on-the-job training program.

Currently there are 4 vacancies in Dauphin County. The Department of Health anticipates future vacancies due to normal turnover from retirements, promotions, etc.

Eligibility requirements: A bachelor's degree in the specialty area and one year of related professional experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Nursing applicants must also possess a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the PA State Board of Nursing; or possession of a non-renewable temporary practice permit issued by the PA State Board of Nursing. PA residency is also required.

How to apply: This is a Civil Service position which requires all applicants to first take a Civil Service Exam. Applications can be located on the PA State Civil Service Commission website athttp://www.scsc.state.pa.us. PA residency is required.
