information for the metropolitan Tucson area. This website was developed with a grant from U.S. EPA and with assistance from
The University of Arizona, The American Lung Association and Pima Association of Governments. Here you will find
information on air pollutants, their health
effects, activities to help
understand air pollution along with historic and current monitoring
data.
This page provides links to these areas and also displays a quick
snapshot of current air quality conditions. The updating photos
show the current
visibility from the rooftop of the County's downtown administration
building. In the table below are air quality index
(AQI) values,
descriptors and applicable cautionary statements for the most currently
polled pollution data.
