Highlights of Last IAB Meeting John Clark 2:152:20PM Status of the Next IAB Product Frank McDonough 2:202:30PM At the April 2001 IAB teleconference, Frank asked each IAB member for suggestion for the next IAB report. Each member provided exciting and timely topics for the next IAB product. Topics suggested included Privacy and Security, E-gov (Best Practices and Transformation Impact), Workplace Issues (Mobile Workforce), Storage of Historical documents, and E-procurement. All the topics suggested are important and may be addressed in Issue Alerts or other OIS products. After considering each topic, " Wireless Technology in Government was selected as the next IAB project. This subject is topical because there is little known about its application in government and should be an emerging topic in the next 12 months. A call letter went out to Federal and State CIOs requesting input for the IAB report on Wireless Technology in Government with a due date of June 14, 2001. Government Without Boundaries Update (an IAB program) Frank McDonough 2:30-2:35PM The GSA and the States of Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia demonstrated their GWoB projects at the NASCIO (formerly NASIRE) Mid-Year Conference in Austin, Texas. The demonstrations were well received by conference attendees. Both states are refining their demonstration projects for the September 2001 NASCIO Annual Conference in New Orleans, LA. Brainstorm Top 10 Intergovernmental Management Issues Frank McDonough 2:35- 2:50PM Frank will lead a brainstorming session to identify the top 10 intergovernmental management issues that need to be addressed as we move towards integrated service delivery by Federal, State, and Local governments.
