The spread of influenza A (H5N1), also known as avian flu or bird flu, primarily among bird populations has raised the possibility of a flu pandemic — an epidemic of global proportions. Though the likelihood of an avian flu pandemic is not known at this time, a team at Sandia National Laboratories, in conjunction with Lockheed Martin Corporation, is preparing for a range of possible avian flu outcomes to minimize the impact of a major public health crisis on the Lab's operations and people. More information about this effort is available in the May 12, 2006, issue of the Sandia Lab News.

Sandia's Pandemic Influenza Contingency Team has prepared this Pandemic To-Do List to help Sandia employees, contractors, retirees, and their families prepare now for a public health threat such as an avian flu pandemic.
