Every day, nonprofit groups around the country are meeting a wide variety of community needs, often with volunteer and corporate philanthropic assistance. Yet while these organizations are doing important and innovative work, they often cannot take their ideas to scale, in part because they lack the professional skills needed to operate as efficiently as possible, or to successfully plan for their growth.
To help rectify this situation, The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation initiated a challenge to leverage $1 billion in skilled volunteering and pro bono services from the corporate community.
Led by the Corporation for National and Community Service, A Billion + Change is the three-year campaign designed to meet the challenge and redefine pro bono.
Join the coalition of companies, nonprofits, and government agencies that are perfecting this new, strategic, and cost-effective approach to cross-sector partnerships.
Why Expand Pro Bono Service and Skills-Based Volunteering
Pro bono and skills-based volunteering partnerships give nonprofits access to the business skills and experience they need to develop sound business strategies and improve their organizational infrastructure while adding significant value to companies’ employee recruitment, productivity, and profitability.
