- Waivers
Waivers, which were first issued in 1998, are written statements issued to a Federal Home Loan Bank, a Federal Home Loan Bank member, or the Office of Finance that waive a provision, restriction, or requirement of a Federal Housing Finance Board rule, regulation, policy, or order, or a required submission of information, not otherwise required by law, in connection with a particular transaction or activity. The authority to issue, and the procedure for applying for, a Waiver are found in sections 907.2, 907.6, and 907.7 of the Finance Board's Procedures regulation (12 C.F.R. §§ 907.2, 907.6, and 907.7). Waivers are numbered in sequence by year with the prefix “WV”, e.g., 2000-WV-##.
