While there, he joined coal miners' wives and widows to start Cabin Creek Quilts Cooperative, which is still operative today. Today, Thibeault is a gardener for Good Living Assisted Living, which he owns, and an active volunteer with Jisaidie Cottage Industries, a handicraft cooperative in Nairobi, Kenya.
