Research Interests

I am working primarily in the area of Sol-gel processing. I have worked on superhydrophobic aerogels, Janus silica films, patterning of polymers and their applications for C-MEMS. Some of the charaterization techniques that I use frequently include AFM, SEM, contact angle goniometry, Raman-IR spectroscopy and BET surface area analysers.

Education

Ph.D. Physics; Shivaji University (2004) Thesis: "Synthesis and Characterization of Hydrophobic Aerogels"

M. Sc. (Physics); Shivaji University (1999)
