Under Secretary Hughes at a meeting with His Eminence Sheikh Tantawi in Cairo, Egypt. | Under Secretary Karen Hughes traveled to Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey from September 24 through September 29. She will visit Cairo, Jeddah, Ankara and Istanbul.
During her trip, Under Secretary Hughes met with senior government officials, university and high school students, and leaders of various religious and nongovernmental organizations to hear their views and to discuss the common challenges we face.
