PROJECT DESCRIPTION
NASA Postdoctoral Project

[Faculty Higher Education]
[Available: Nationally]

The Oak Ridge Associated Universities, or ORAU, conducts the NASA Postdoctoral Project. The NPP is a national competition to identify outstanding recent postdoctoral scientists and engineers and experienced senior scientists and engineers for tenure as guest researchers at NASA centers. The NPP offers an opportunity for recent recipients of doctoral degrees to concentrate their research in association with NASA personnel, often as a climax to formal career preparation. The project also affords established scientists and engineers an opportunity for research without the interruptions and distracting assignments of permanent career positions.
