While our drivers always keep a watchful eye out for riders at our bus stops, they must turn their attention to the road and traffic once the bus is moving. They may not be able to see you, and you could be putting yourself and others at risk. After 7 PM, Board and Exit Buses Via Front DoorsAfter 7 PM, fares are collected and transfers are issued when you board the bus. For this reason, and for extra evening security, riders are asked to board and exit via the front doors only. Night Stop ServiceBecause we want you to feel secure traveling at night, Metro offers Night Stop service. Available between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Night Stop allows you to ask the driver to let you off at any point along your bus route, even though it may not be a Metro bus stop. Just come to the front of the bus at least a block ahead of where you want to get off and request your stop. The driver will decide whether the stop you asked for can be made safely. Please Note: Night stop is not available in the Ride Free Area. For the Safety and Comfort of All Our RidersAt Metro, we are committed to providing a clean, comfortable, safe and secure environment for our customers.
