ACMG PROMOTES THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY HEALTH HISTORY

"Everyone should know their family health history" is a key message of the ACMG's 2008 campaign on family health history. ACMG is helping the public to "get the conversation started" about family health history by airing public service spots on National Public Radio in New York City and Boston, combined with a national news release (click here), The ACMG has traditionally taken a strong, active role in educating health professionals about genetics and has recently expanded its efforts to convey accurate, important information about genetics and health to patients and the public directly.
