Videoconferences

The Office of Public Liaison schedules discussions via videoconference with associations, civic organizations, and educational institutions across the United States. These discussions feature State Department officials who are able to communicate information about current U.S. foreign policy issues. Sudan
During the week of April 23, 2007, Baruch College, Bowie State University, City College of New York, Duke University, Florida A&M University, George Washington University, Harvard University, Howard University, Indiana University-Bloomington, Spelman College, Truman State University, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of San Diego participated in a series of videoconferences on Helping the People of Sudan.

Global HIV/AIDS
On February 7, 2007, the Office of Public Liaison in partnership with the Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sponsored a videoconference to discuss the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief with students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. .
