    Attorneys - Dispute Resolution Specialist (OAL) Top
    The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) within the Office of Administrative Litigation is seeking an attorney with experience in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) with a focus in business and environmental disputes. The individual selected will serve as an attorney dispute resolution specialist and third-party neutral in promoting the use of and conducting ADR processes within the Commission and by the public it serves. Experience in energy ADR, energy law or the energy industry is a plus. The DRS’ role at the Commission is to provide ADR case-related and outreach services for parties engaged in or impacted by FERC-related disputes. Our main objective is to ensure appropriate use of ADR methods to prevent and resolve energy conflicts through effective and efficient interest-based methods of conflict resolution.

    This is a mid-level and senior-level position

    The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s Division of Investigations, within the Office of Enforcement, is seeking mid-level and senior-level attorneys with experience in investigative work, litigation, or enforcement. Experience in energy law or the energy industry is also a plus. The Office is responsible for the enforcement of the Commission’s statutes, orders, and rules governing the nation’s natural gas, oil pipeline, and electric markets to ensure fair and competitive markets. Its responsibilities include the investigation of the actions of market participants, quantitative assessments of market performance, and the analysis of proposed regulations and market rules.

    The applicant must be a member in good standing with a recognized bar. Salary range is $98,033 to $149,000, commensurate with experience.     The Office of the General Counsel, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is seeking an experienced attorney to work on cutting-edge legal and policy issues affecting the electric and natural gas industries, including regulatory policy and financial market issues affecting investment in the industries, and trading in energy commodity futures and derivatives affecting wholesale prices of electric energy and natural gas.     This is a mid-level and senior-level position

    The Office of the General Counsel, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, is seeking mid-level and senior-level attorneys with electric energy experience for its Energy Markets section (EM). Successful candidates will be able to advise the Commission on complex issues associated with competitive wholesale electric energy markets, transmission of electric energy in interstate commerce, transportation of natural gas and oil in interstate commerce, and electric system reliability. Candidates must be able to work with minimal guidance in drafting rules, orders and legal memoranda on new and challenging issues. Ability to work in inter-disciplinary teams is essential. Attorneys in EM make up a diverse group and share a deep commitment to public service.
