Changes proposed for Eastside service
Ways to comment on these proposals
The comment period is over, thank you for your comments.
King County Metro and Sound Transit are working together to propose an improved bus network on the Eastside. This set of changes to King County Metro bus routes would be among the first to be implemented since the passage of Transit Now, a program of expanded transit service funded by a dedicated 0.1% sales tax approved by voters in November 2006.
Resources provided by Transit Now have allowed King County Metro to develop new proposals that respond to public comments received during fall 2005 and spring 2006 on ideas to change service. Even with additional resources, Metro still needs to address services that are inefficient or have low ridership to make the best use of available resources and serve the most people.
Your comments will help Metro and Sound Transit decide which, if any, of these changes to make.
In this newsletter, you will find:
- descriptions of the proposed changes;
- maps showing the proposed changes;
- the reasons behind each proposed change;
- a list of other ways for you to tell us what you think about thes potential changes.
