Quantum Physics of Matter

The NIST Physics Laboratory's component of the Federal High Performance Computing and Communication Initiative is entitled Quantum Physics of Matter. Its purpose is to implement novel computational approaches to understanding the electronic properties of materials and the interaction of light and charged particles with matter. This page will be updated periodically to describe the progress of the projects contributing to this initiative.
