Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring that DNA.gov is accessible to all its users. This web site has been developed to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (as amended). Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers to information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities and to encourage the development of new technologies to help achieve these goals. This law requires that all individuals with disabilities have access to information and data comparable to that which is available to individuals without disabilities. DNA.gov is regularly monitored to ensure that it meets and exceeds the requirements of Section 508.

Visual design
This site uses cascading style sheets for visual layout. All stylesheets use only relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified "text size" option in visual browsers. If your browser or browsing device does not support stylesheets at all, the content of each page is still readable.

A “Skip to Content” link has been added as one of the first items on each page. This link allows those using screen readers to easily skip to the page’s main content without having to listen to the navigation and other ancillary information being read.

If you have questions or concerns about the accessibility of this site, please contact the Content Manager at (202) 305–4220.
