George Washington University
School of Public Policy & Public Administration

805 21st Street NW
Washington, DC  20052

The School of Public Policy and Public Administration (SPPPA) in GW's Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (CCAS) is a focal point for public affairs education, research, and public service at The George Washington University. Building on a rich tradition of education for public service and on its location in the nation's capital, just a few blocks west of the White House, The George Washington University offers a superior education for students wishing to pursue public affairs oriented academic programs.

The school offers the Master of Public Administration (MPA), the Master of Public Policy (MPP), and the Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration. The words that best characterize the school’s approach are flexibility, imagination, opportunity, and friendliness. The MPA and MPP programs offer concentrations including education policy, health policy, public budgeting and finance, nonprofit management, science and technology policy, and urban and social policy.

The school offers numerous interdisciplinary opportunities within the University and through the Consortium of Universities of the Washington Metropolitan Area. The school prides itself on well-balanced programs that provide students with strong policy analysis and research skills as well as administrative and general public management abilities.

The SPPPA welcomes applications from highly qualified individuals committed to public service for both part time and full time study.
