Programs nationwide celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a "day on, not a day off" by engaging youth, neighbors, partners and businesses in service projects that promote Dr. King's legacy of service and justice. This toolkit by the Corporation for National and Community Service helps programs plan an effective MLK Day service project and promote their project to the media and the public. The toolkit includes ideas for service projects, a project-planning checklist, partnership possibilities, and a sample media advisory and press release.
