Washington, D.C.
May 27, 2003
Educators, aviation enthusiasts and historians can now purchase a limited edition print showcasing 93 of the most important events in the history of powered flight. The U.S. Centennial of Flight Commission, which was created to coordinate the nationwide commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers' first flight, and Kestner Educational Services, LLC, the Illinois-based company that created the print, have entered into a licensing agreement that makes the print an official Centennial of Flight Commission licensed product.
Kestner has produced 500 graphic timelines, all of
which are signed by the artist and numbered. Each piece is framed
and matted, and may be purchased online at http://www.kesweb.com
until May 2004.
An educational development firm, Kestner provides a wide array of consulting services, including curriculum and program development, teacher training and consultation, research and evaluation, writing and publication consulting, and video development. The U.S. Centennial of Flight Commission is coordinating
a national outreach campaign for the Centennial of Flight: Born
of Dreams - Inspired by Freedom celebration, and advising the President,
Congress and federal agencies on the most effective ways to encourage
and promote national and international participation in the yearlong
commemoration. More information about the Commission and the events
taking place throughout the country can be found on the U.S. Centennial
