INVENTING FLIGHT ANNOUNCES SALE OF OPENING CEREMONY TICKETS
Kick-Off to Centennial Celebration Will Be Held at Dragons Stadium

Dayton, Ohio
February 10, 2003

Inventing Flight: Dayton 2003 today announced the start of advance ticket sales for the Opening Ceremonies of Inventing Flight: The Centennial Celebration. Inventing Flight Members and key stakeholders, along with Dayton Dragon season ticket holders, will be invited to buy Opening Ceremony tickets one month prior to the general public.

Entertainment Design Corp., an award-winning production design company based in Los Angeles, will produce the Opening Ceremonies, in addition to the Wings nightly barge show, Air Mania main stage shows and the Closing Ceremonies.

The Opening Ceremonies will be a world-class presentation at Fifth Third Field on the night of July 3rd. Besides a cast of over 400 dancers, singers, acrobats, marching children, larger-than-life puppets and special effects, distinguished participants could include John Glenn, a top White House executive, and celebrities from all areas of entertainment.

Inventing Flight plans to sell over 8,000 seats for the event. Offer letters have been sent to constituents of Inventing Flight and the Dayton Dragons for advance ticket sales. General public sales will begin on March 31. Tickets are priced at $125 for both the field seats and the stands. Ticket buyers will be asked to list their preference for seating, but seat choices are not guaranteed.

When the public sale begins on March 31, interested buyers can purchase tickets by calling 1-888-FLY 2003 (1-888-359-2003) or through the organization's web site at www.inventingflight.com.

"Inventing Flight could not hold its Opening Ceremonies in a better venue. The Dayton Dragons are an integral part of the spirit of Dayton, and we are excited to have them host this once-in-a-lifetime event," said Inventing Flight Chairman Brad Tillson.

Inventing Flight: The Centennial Celebration honors the 100th anniversary of powered flight in Dayton, Ohio, where the Wright Brothers lived, invented and perfected the airplane. The celebration will be a tribute to the innovative spirit of the Wright Brothers and all of those they inspired. An event of mammoth proportions, the 17-day celebration is packed full of aviation events, activities and entertainment. For more information, visit www.inventingflight.com.
