Nationwide Campaign Launched in Conjunction With HBO's Show Addiction

Addiction: Comunities take action HBO's 14-part series, Addiction, debuting on March 15, 2007, provides an opportunity to educate Americans about advancements in the understanding of drug and alcohol addiction and its treatment as a brain disease. As part of the series, the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA), Faces & Voices of Recovery and Join Together are collaborating together to help communities build on HBO's ADDICTION Project, which includes the documentary series, a four-disc DVD set, a companion book published by Rodale Press, four independent addiction-themed films, a robust website and a national community grassroots outreach campaign.

The community outreach campaign includes town meetings and house parties taking place during the week of March 15-25. At many events, the centerpiece documentary Addiction will be screened. Be sure to check out http://www.addictionaction.org/events/ to find an event near you.

Visit www.AddictionAction.org to learn more about the Addiction series and find out how you can get involved.
