eptember 2000 will be observed as National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month to promote the importance and effectiveness of substance abuse treatment. This kit has been developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Treatment to help you promote the importance and effectiveness of substance abuse treatment and the benefits of getting help for adolescents with substance abuse problems.

hese materials will help you reach people and groups in your community such as policymakers and health insurers, health professionals who serve adolescents, schools and the education community, professionals in the juvenile justice and family court systems, community-based organizations serving youth, businesses that employ youth, parents and families, and other consumers.  Through your efforts, we can help adolescents get the treatment they need and support their recovery from alcohol and drug addiction.
