Mary O’Connell first came to the NCI as a Cancer Research Training Award (CRTA) Fellow in the Health Communication Internship Program in 2005. In 2006, Mary became a Federal Contractor in support of the Tobacco Control Research Branch. As a Program Analyst in the Office of the Associate Director, Mary manages communication activities and provides program analysis and scientific support for the Behavioral Research Program. Mary holds a Master’s Degree in Health Communication from Emerson College in Collaboration with Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from University at Buffalo, the State University of New York.
